015: Joe Noble

Joe Noble Interview

Episode 15 – We met snare drummer Joe Noble in his home in Glasgow’s west end. Joe in his heyday was a successful leading drummer with the famous Renfrew Pipe Band (British Caledonian Airways Renfrew and Babcock Renfrew) and Toyota Pipe Band (Scots Heritage and City of Glasgow); and soloist, twice winning the World Solo Drumming Championships. Joe is now an experienced adjudicator on the RSPBA panel and is one of a handful of drumming judges regularly appointed to oversee ensemble on the day of a major pipe band championship. Joe’s experience in pipe bands is vast and we are pleased that he chose to share his memories with us.
