Episode 41 – Pipers’Persuasion travelled to London, the Kensington Conference Centre to take in the scene at the Annual Competition of the Scottish Piping Society of London. There we enjoyed the hussle of many simultaneous competitions which prevented accurate coverage but allowed a sample taste on the day where there was an interest in how the young pipers of the Strathclyde Police Pipe Band would fare against stiff opposition. Willie McCallum succeeded in being Champion Piper. The level of playing reached its anticipated high standard and afforded those of us who had made the effort to arrive to feel satisfied with our weekend. Many thanks to the SPSL!
